About the event
Books can connect us with history in new and exciting ways. Each non-fiction book club series focuses on a subject related to the history of the Los Angeles region between 1830 and 1930. Museum staff will occasionally share items from the museum's collection that pertain to the subject of a book. We ask that participants read the assigned book in time for each meeting.
June 7th - the book club is reading Upton Sinclair: California Socialist, Celebrity Intellectual by Lauren Coodley. To learn more about this book, click HERE.
July 12th - the book club is reading Triangle: The Fire That Changed America by David Von Drehle. To learn more about this book, click HERE.
August 9th - the book club is reading The Pullman Case: The Clash of Labor and Capital in Industrial America by David Ray Papke. To learn more about this book, click HERE.
You can choose to meet either in-person or on Zoom. Click HERE to be added to our email list or contact us at info@homesteadmuseum.org to learn more.
