About the event
Cousins Francisco P. Ramírez and Francisco P. Ramírez were two sides of the same coin.
The Los Angeles natives were precocious and brilliant in their early chosen fields: Ramírez as the teenaged publisher of El Clamor Público, the Angel City’s first Spanish-language newspaper, and Sepúlveda as a lawyer admitted to the bar at 21 years of age. Ramírez later entered the legal profession, while his cousin became a judge, then their paths wildly diverged.
Join historian and retired attorney Paul Bryan Gray as he shares, in a two-part presentation, his deep knowledge base and intensive research on these remarkable figures.
