About the event

Cousins Francisco P. Ramírez and Ygnacio Sepúlveda were two sides of the same coin.

The Los Angeles natives were precocious and brilliant in their early chosen fields: Ramírez  as the teenaged publisher of El Clamor Público, the Angel City’s first Spanish-language newspaper, and Sepúlveda as a lawyer admitted to the bar at 21 years of age. Ramírez  later entered the legal profession, while his cousin became a judge, then their paths wildly diverged.

Join historian and retired attorney Paul Bryan Gray as he shares, in a two-part presentation, his deep knowledge base and intensive research on these remarkable figures.

PLEASE NOTE:

The presentation on January 14th will focus on Francisco P. Ramírez

The presentation on January 28th will focus Ygnacio Sepúlveda

If you would like to attend both programs, please make a reservation on each event listing day
