The Homestead Museum's collection focuses on objects dating from 1830 to 1930. Through some of these items, we can tell the story of women's suffrage in California and across the United States.

Below are a selection of objects that provide an insight into late-19th and early-20th-century ideas of women's roles. They reveal how both pro and anti-suffrage supporters promoted their views to gain support for their respective causes.
