While nothing beats a visit in person, the museum offers the following off-site presentations that can be made for a variety of groups including schools, service clubs, historical societies, businesses, and other organizations:
• A PowerPoint presentation about the history of the museum (suitable for teens and adults)
• A PowerPoint presentation suitable for grades 3, 4, and 5 about life in Southern California from the days of the Mexican ranchos through the Roaring Twenties
• A living history presentation made by a costumed character who can talk about life in the Los Angeles area in the mid- to late-1800s or 1920s (suitable for students and adults)
Programs are free and last approximately 15-20 minutes. We recommend that you call at least 2 months before the date you would like to reserve.
Based on the availability of our staff, we can put together special presentations on a variety of topics including the history of Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley, architecture, and architectural crafts.
